General FAQs

What about my privacy online?

All information collected is anonymised. This means that that any personal information or means of identifying an individual panel member is removed. The data is combined with the other panellist and only reported in aggregate. Emails and phone numbers are not linked to the reported data and are only used for the purposes of the initial app installation and for delivering rewards.

What kind of information is collected and who uses it?

We collect data for market research purposes only. The research helps our clients in understanding the online behaviour of users, particularly video consumption activity. For example, if you watch a particular show online, the data will help producers understand what led you to select that title. Based on these findings, they can understand how people find new content as well as what content is liked and disliked. We evaluate and report your data only in aggregated and anonymously. This means that your data and the data of the other participants will be combined together. Aggregated data, for example, would be the percentage of participants who have seen a particular TV show, movie or advertisement on the Internet. Conclusions about each individual’s personal behaviour is therefore not possible or reported.

What happens to my personal information such as online transactions?

The app and software does not record information that is entered in web forms or encrypted pages, such as user names and passwords for websites, credit card data, other bank / account data or other private data.

Can I access my own viewing data?

It is not possible to provide individual viewing data. This is because we anonymise the data we collect on individuals. This means that that any personal information or means of identifying an individual panel member is removed the moment it is collected. The data is combined with the other panellist and only reported in aggregate. This makes it impossible for us to extract information for an individual panellist.
